School timings are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Students must report to school on time and be present for the Morning Assembly/Prayer.
Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for the academic progress of every student.
Students are expected to maintain the minimum attendance prescribed by the CBSE and the school. Shortage of attendance may affect eligibility for examinations as per applicable rules.
Parents are requested to inform the school promptly in case of prolonged absence and submit the required leave note/application.
2. Discipline & Behaviour
Students must maintain respectful, polite and disciplined behaviour towards the Principal, teachers, staff and fellow students.
Bullying, teasing, harassment, fighting, abusive language, intimidation or any form of misconduct will not be tolerated.
Students must follow the instructions given by teachers and school authorities at all times.
Any behaviour that disturbs teaching, learning or the peaceful atmosphere of the school may result in appropriate disciplinary action.
Students are expected to uphold the good name and reputation of Gnanodhaya International School both within and outside the campus.
3. Uniform & Personal Grooming
Students must come to school in the complete, clean and properly ironed school uniform as prescribed.
Shoes must be clean and properly polished.
Students must maintain neat and appropriate personal grooming at all times.
Boys must maintain short, neat and well-groomed hair.
Girls must keep their hair neatly tied/plaited with black hair accessories as prescribed by the school.
Nails must be trimmed and clean.
Students must wear the prescribed activity/track uniform and house-colour T-shirt on the designated days.
Fancy jewellery, chains, bracelets, colourful hair accessories, nail polish, make-up and other unnecessary accessories are not permitted.
4. Use of English
Students are encouraged and expected to communicate in English with teachers and fellow students within the school campus, during school activities and while travelling by the school transport.
Students should use respectful and appropriate language at all times.
5. Care of School Property
Students must handle school furniture, books, laboratory equipment, sports equipment, computers, smart TVs/projectors and other school property with care.
Any deliberate damage to school property may result in the student being held responsible for the cost of repair or replacement.
6. Classroom Conduct
Students must pay attention during lessons and actively participate in classroom activities.
Students must complete and submit classwork, homework, assignments and projects within the prescribed time.
Students must bring the required books, notebooks, stationery and other materials according to the timetable.
Students must maintain cleanliness and orderliness in their classrooms.
7. School Diary & Communication
Students must carry their school diary every day.
Parents are requested to check the diary and school app regularly for notices, homework, circulars and important updates.
Any communication from parents to the school should be made through the prescribed school communication channels.
8. Electronic Devices
Mobile phones, smart watches, tablets, gaming devices, personal computers, iPods and other unauthorised electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited on the school campus.
The school will not be responsible for the loss or damage of unauthorised electronic devices or valuables brought to school.
9. Library & Learning Resources
Students are encouraged to make proper use of the school library and other learning resources for academic reference, reading and self-development.
Library books and resources must be handled carefully and returned within the prescribed time.
10. Sports & Co-Curricular Activities
Students are encouraged to actively participate in sports and co-curricular activities offered by the school, including Cricket, Skating, Swimming, Basketball and other activities.
Once a student is enrolled/selected for a particular activity, participation is expected to continue for the academic year, subject to school guidelines.
Students must follow the instructions of coaches and teachers and use all sports equipment responsibly.
Students must wear the prescribed sports/activity uniform and required safety equipment wherever applicable.
11. School Transport
Students using school transport must follow the instructions of the driver, attendant and transport in-charge.
Students must remain seated and behave safely and respectfully throughout the journey.
Students will be picked up and dropped off only at the designated stops.
Students must not attempt to board or leave the vehicle at unauthorised locations.
12. Leaving the School Premises
Students will not normally be permitted to leave the school premises during school hours.
In unavoidable circumstances, early departure may be permitted only with a written request from the parent/guardian and approval from the school authorities.
Parents/guardians collecting students must follow the school's prescribed procedure for early departure.
13. Parent–Teacher Interaction
Parents are welcome to discuss the academic progress, behaviour and well-being of their ward with the teachers through the designated communication channels.
Parents may meet teachers/school authorities during the designated parent interaction hours announced by the school.
Parents are requested not to enter classrooms or interrupt teaching during school hours without permission.
14. Cleanliness & Hygiene
Students must keep the classroom, corridors, playground and school campus clean.
Students must use dustbins and avoid littering.
Students are expected to maintain good personal hygiene and follow the cleanliness guidelines of the school.
15. Birthday Celebrations
Students may wear decent, modest and appropriate casual clothes on their birthday, subject to school guidelines.
Students are not permitted to distribute expensive gifts, return gifts or organise elaborate celebrations in school.
Any birthday celebration should be simple and should not disturb the regular academic schedule.
16. Fees & Payments
School fees must be paid within the prescribed due dates.
Fees once paid are non-refundable, except where otherwise specifically approved by the school management or required under applicable rules.
The management reserves the right to revise the fee structure or school policies with prior communication to parents.
17. Prohibited Items
Students must not bring the following items to school:
Mobile phones and unauthorised electronic gadgets
Expensive jewellery or valuables
Sharp objects or dangerous articles
Firecrackers, lighters or inflammable materials
Items that may cause harm, distraction or disturbance to others
18. General Conduct
Students must demonstrate honesty, kindness, responsibility, respect and good manners at all times.
Students must respect the dignity, privacy and personal space of others.
Students must cooperate with school authorities during assemblies, events, examinations, drills and other school activities.
Any act of indiscipline, dishonesty, bullying, harassment or violation of school rules will be dealt with appropriately.
19. Management's Right
The school management reserves the right to modify, add or amend rules and regulations whenever necessary in the interest of the safety, discipline and overall development of students.
Parents and students are expected to comply with the rules and guidelines communicated by the school from time to time.
